I look for birds.
I see them.
But I see only one kind. English sparrows.
The birds that
come in huge numbers
And the other birds flee.
sparrows are, no other birds are.
When you don't see them, you see all the other birds
In full color, in full plumage, brilliant and many.
Junk sparrows don't belong here. They come from Europe.
Then I think…
I am a junk person, for my ancestors did not come from here.
They also came from Europe.
